Join dancers from Cultured Mongrel as we begin work building a regional youth dance company.

Monday 12th - Friday 16th August

1030 - 1200 Contemporary Dance Class
For anyone aged 13 - 18 interested in learning contemporary dance or improving their skills. Class will be adapted to meet the needs of those attending and dancers do not need any experience. Dancers will be given more information about the development of a regional youth dance company at the sessions.

1300 - 1500 Drop in sessions.
For anyone aged 13 - 25 interested in dance in the region.
We can dance, we can talk and most importantly we can plan how Cultured Mongrel can support young people across the region to create opportunities for young dancers.

Feel free to pop in for a day or join us for the whole week.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Cultured Mongrel is the creative handle for Gretna born dancer and theatre maker, Emma Jayne Park. Emma is eager to create opportunities for young dancers and increase access to dance across Dumfries and Galloway.

The Young Dancers Development Programme is part of a ten year plan to ensure that every young person in the region interested in pursuing a career in dance has the opportunity to do so. The project has been supported by The Holywood Trust and Creative Scotland.

If you are an individual or organisation interested in hearing more about the programme please get in touch and we would be eager to meet you.
