The Guild of Players recognises this and in the youth theatre we make sure that we support all of these reasons and more!

No matter if you have no experience of the theatre and are a nervous beginner, or if you have tread the boards previously, we have something for you.

All our sessions are planned and delivered by knowledgeable and experienced theatre practioners and supported by a friendly team of volunteers.

What will you learn?

There are so many things you can learn when you become a member of our youth theatre. There is no experience quite like the one you get at a working theatre, not to mention, Scotland’s oldest working theatre!

Beginners Group

16:30 - 17:30

In these fun workshops, you will learn all of the basics of drama and performance. Including how to create a character and the skills you need to perform on stage.



17:45 - 19:15

This workshop concentrates on developing drama skills and acting technique in a wide variety of contexts, enabling a clear understanding of how to create or produce theatre.



19:30 - 21:00

Accessibility and Inclusion

Drama and theatre activities are beneficial for all children and young people. 
As an organisation, we pride ourselves on our ability to support any child that wishes to be a part of our theatre family.
