Develop your acting skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment with Performance Playground, our monthly workshop held in the Theatre Royal Studio. These sessions are designed as a relaxed, creative space where performers can build confidence, explore different performance styles, and work on a variety of exciting scripts with others who share a passion for theatre.
Each month offers something different, from script work and character exploration to improvisation and group performance, giving participants the chance to challenge themselves, try new approaches, and learn through collaboration. The workshop brings together people with a range of experience levels, creating an opportunity to connect, share ideas, and grow as performers in a supportive setting.
Performance Playground is facilitated by our Education Officer, Rose Benson, but it is not a formal class. Instead, it is a space for participants to learn from one another, experiment, and develop their skills together in a friendly, informal atmosphere.
The workshop is free to attend, with a suggested donation of £3 per session. Open to ages 16+.
