It is with great sadness that we have to announce that we have to postpone the performance of The Ghosting of Rabbie Burns on Monday 24th January due to a cast member contracting Covid-19. We were very much looking forward to this performance but we must ensure that the cast, the team, our staff and you our audiences are all kept safe so we have no other option but to cancel the performance.

The show will now take place 16th & 17th February.

Our small box office team will be in contact with everyone who has purchased tickets and if you have any questions please email box@theatreroyaldumfries.co.uk and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

We wish the cast best wishes and a speedy recovery and our team and all the cast send their apologies again, we hope to see you all soon.

After the recent announcement by the First Minister of Scotland, our shows will go ahead as planned from Monday 24th January.

We have a number of significant measures in place to ensure the safety of our audiences, artists and staff including temperature checks on entering our building, hand sanitising stations, a one way system and additional cleaning of our facilities between uses. Masks must also be worn during the performance and when moving about the building with the exception of sitting in the bar drinking a beverage.

We really look forward to welcoming you back into our Theatre once again and thank you for your continued support.
