The Guild of Players present Torwatletie

A hidden tunnel, a Highland fugitive, a deposed minister...

Hilarity ensues in this Scots play set during the first Jacobite uprising as the Laird of Torwatletie is tasked with smuggling a Highland rebel out of the country.  Aided by his daughter, a doctor and a deposed Episcopalian minister, can Torwatletie stay out of trouble?  Or will his busybody sister and the new Presbyterian minister catch them all in the act?

Though the story is set three centuries ago,  the action takes place only a few miles away. Torwatletie and the nearby Torwatletie Moss are located in Dumfries and Galloway, just north of Balmaclellan.

Feart ye micht nae ken th' Scots? For those audience members worried about understanding the Scots dialect, a Scots glossary will be included in the programme.
