Winners of the 2017 MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards’ Folk Band of The Year, 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Young Folk Award and nominees of the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Horizon Award, Talisk are one of the fastest rising bands on the UK folk scene in recent years.

They will be supported on the night by Kate in the Kettle. This string trio, headed-up by Scottish Musician and composer Kate Young, will bring to light the dying tradition of the medicinal uses of plants in Scotland and its associated folklore. The stories are told through songs and arrangements which challenge and have irresistible “groove” throughout. Highly acclaimed Scottish fiddler and viola player, Patsy Reid, and Su-a Lee of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and McFall’s Chamber will join Kate for this set.
